Hurricane Alex has turned out to be a dud thank goodness. It reached Category 2 just before hitting land in Mexico, about 80 miles south of here. We have gotten winds around 50 mph and plenty of rain, last time I checked around 5 PM we were at 7 inches. They say we may get upward of 15 inches before it moves away. So far no damages here, but there have been plenty of tornados in the area. After making it through Hurricane Dolly 2 years ago, this has been nothing more than a nuisance. . . . .
