If you have a distributor you need to check for battery voltage at your coil. With the points open and your ignition switch in the on position there should be battery voltage on both small terminals. Use a test lite or volt meter set on dc volts. If there no voltage you need to check for a broken wire, loose or corroded connection. Check the terminal on your switch that feeds voltage to your coil when its on. Hal PS: If you have a mag this doesn't apply.
