I have lowline black angus, and they're very pleasant animals. No horns to deal with, very docile and healthy. They run about 2/3 the size of regular angus. My 2 yr. old bull and cows are probably around 1000 lbs. Calves were about 50 to 55 lbs. at birth. Very easy calving. Steers butcher around 800 lbs. live weight, 250 lbs. hanging weight per side.
