Thanks so far. Is there any special way to open up the speedometer to check it out. I can't see where it comes loose without a chisel.
I have the 2000 ford f150 with 5.4L engine that has the bad soldier joint or which needs to be resoldered. I'm not sure how to pop the dash on that model.
