You say "spankings are a joke"; guess who made them a joke - - YOU did. They have lost all respect for you now so it will be very difficult to re-order things. You have to remember that you are the adult, not a friend, but a parent. Next time they act up, pull all TVs for 1 week, all phones for 1 week, and all extra activities for 1 week. And, MEAN it, dont cave in. They will have a week to think about how they got themselves into this fix. They have to learn, the hard way, that there are consequences for their bad actions. Shape them up now, while you can, or you will never have a moments peace, and they will never respect you as the parent. Tom
