I planted about 10 acres of this stuff several years back. Due to a dry spell it took a while for most of the field to get to a decent cutting height. However the low area grew like gain busters and easily top'd ten foot (more like 12-14). The 1209 went through it with no problems. I just slowed down a tad. Bar will push it over but it will still cut it. Bad part is it will take so long to dry the stems it will look like crap. The areas where it was ten foot tall it looked like corn stalks when bales. But the cows still picked through it and ate what they could.
