I have heard that for applications where the battery will be exposed to shock repetitively a person should use a industrial battery. This would be tractors and machines without suspension,or the front of a boat pounding across waves. I would also think where the battery is located would make a difference, my JD4600 has it in front of the radiator, where it gets bounced around some. Never the less, when I need a new battery for it it will probably be one from Walmart, as I only use it 50 hours a year. The original JD battery gassed so bad that it corroded all the metal around it so they gave me a replacement with a vent hose, no more problems.
