Shaun, Often times the flywheels are repaired due to slop on the splines on the end of the crankshaft,,,peoole overtighten the bolts thus cracking the hub. You may be able to locate a decent flywheel with a good hub and decent grooves, but that may also slop when you put it on due to wear on the grooves of the crank, I suggest you look into a taperlock flywheel: a guy in Ohio cuts the hubs out and puts in new ones allowing them to lock in a different way,,,not the cheapest fix...but probably not much worse than buy a good used one...and he will give you a core for your old one. We were ready to do the same, fortunately ours was not cracked or prepaired, but it was starting to slop beyond where normal tightening would work...a friend who builds race engines tossed me a bottle of green loc tite and said try this 1st...knock on wood, it"s been fine for about 6 years, but if it starts to slop again we are aff to ohio.
