I change all push mowers to the older style carbs that have adjustments. You have to change the blow-by tube and the throttle bracket that goes over the head [held by three head bolts]. With the newer carbs, I always had to put a new gasket/diaphram every year. I grab every push mower engine I can out of the city dump so I can always have a supply of fit to use carbs.
