You must live in Western KS, in Eastern Kansas a rolling truck or tractor can hit 50 mph coasting down some of these hills.
My ***hole brother had a bad habit of parking our F600 trucks in 4th gear. It will hold the truck but not much else. I made the mistake of loading one that he had parked without checking it first. I had the grain cart running and was about to pull ahead when the truck started to roll backwards (300 bushel of corn will do that) showered the cab with several bushels of grain before I could figure out what was going on (watching a driverless vehical leave you behind will catch you by surprise).
The truck was very slowly rolling away backwards with the engine losing the battle of compression vs gravity. Had to get the tractor locked in park (didn't want to chase it too) and then chased the truck down before it built up any speed. Those old 300 6s can't hardly hold a load in 1st let alone in 4th high.
