My prior post has gone to the second page so I decided to start a new post. Thanks for all the replies to my question. I decided to let my daughter run the tire until she comes home in October. Then I'll take it to a place I trust (that was closed on labor day weekend) and let them break the tire down and inspect the inside.
When I plugged the tire it had 10-12 PSI pressure. It's supposed to have 32 PSI. So she ran it low for a couple hundred miles. Just want to make sure there's no inside damage.
BTW, if it was my tire, I would run it just like it is. But she's only 18 and not as experienced driving so wouldn't be able to handle a blowout as easy as I would. I grew up driving on may-pops. My daddy was a cheap SOB. So I had lots of experience with blowouts and tread separations by her age.
