If the answer is no to all these questions; then You need a motion activated camera. Sometimes just putting a sign out that says there is a camera is enough. I read a story several years ago where someone put a strip of water mixed with orange food coloring across the top of a few rows of bales, the crook didnt know it, & was caught after the bales were spotted by a neighbors ultralight aircraft! Where I live there are plenty of those flying around! Also You could dye the string a bright unusual color. Good Luck!
