I have mine so they are dished in with two sets of weights on the outside. I did this so it would fit on the trailer, but I don't trailer it anymore. I've not had any stability problems so I've left it that way. Another factor is what kind of terrain do you have in your area? If it's relatively flat, width will not be much of a factor. Of course, turning at too fast of a speed will flip a tractor faster than you can react. And no, people cannot jump off of a tractor as it starts to flip as I've seen mentioned in some EMT manuals.
