Hi jim. I bought this used vermeer bp7000 just under a year ago. I have no complaints and believe it saves alot of hay and alot of work both. We used it to feed hay to cows on stalks all last winter. We used it feed conrstalks bales and bed buildings with it. Only give the cows what they need and they clean it up, no waste and no manure to haul from around bale rings. This processor does not require you to remove the net wrap or string. I cut it off with the special knife that comes with it. I can remove 50 bales worth of net wrap as quick as I could remove it off of one frozen bale. I have ended up with a frozen bale of corn stalks in this thing sideways and it chewed it up and spit it out without hesitation. I looked at two brands, haybuster and vermeer because that is what I could find a dealer with parts for within a 100 miles. The haybusters look like a fine unit. I went with the vermeer, which is built in canada by someone else, because I found one I liked. We have done everything from feed bunks to make piles and it works great.
