That's kind of a shock to the taste buds, if'n you were expecting something else. Hard to say what the distributors who supply the suds for these events are doing, but personally, I've never liked most of any mass produced beer, though sometimes that is all that there is at events like these. So you grin and bear it LOL, well ..... it is kind of a let down because when you are in the mood for a cold beer and your taste buds are set on something, it is kind of a let down.
Good news is, we live in a great era for craft and quality brewed beers, with some great tasting beers, so the fair was a let down, my fridge at home is not LOL !
I remember what was available 25 years ago and there was nothing like what is out there today, the resurgence of craft brewing has certainly awakened the A.B.'s and similar size breweries.
Hard to figure, so what did they do, substitute something else at these local events, I'd ask the server, what is in that keg ? Was it spoiled or just different. False advertising darn it !
There is nothing more enjoyable than a quality beer, of a style you adore the taste of, in a frosted glass, and I do believe the saying "Beer is proof God loves us" as we sure have some great beers being produced in the U.S. today.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
