My late dad's parents had a livery stable and feed store in western IN for years and my grandmother taught school. They thought the cars and tractors were a passing joke back then. They thought horse and buggys were here to stay. They did put three sons through college and had they sold Ford cars and Fordson tractors they would have cleaned up. When my dad had to leave the farm shortly after when my brother and I went into the military they purchased a big rancher for $11000.00. This was in the 1950's. He thought prices wouldn't go up on houses. My nephew owns that house now and the house next to my nephew is listed for $625,000.00 and he's scared to death his real estate taxes is going to go through the roof. Hal PS: The house is in an area that is residential, but it can be changed to commerical.
