I'll tell you my experiences with turf tires on other tractors.
I cared for a polo field and the grounds with a Kubota with turf tires. they were fine for the field, their intended use. Still, if you turn too tight or had it in 4 wheel, you could get a burn patch. i initially bush hogged the field at the beginning of the year, but the field is pool table flat and was very dry when I worked it. For other work around the property they were about worthless in the traction department. We had one particularly steep hill (10-15% maybe more); in low gear it would begin to slide down the asphalt drive. I did not have this problme with the Ford 2110 with conventional tractor tires.
The other tractor I had turfs on was a small JD lawn tractor. I replaced those with conventional tractor tires (really small, I think the rim is 12 inches)and now go places I never dreamed of. Also, it seems less prone to roll, I guess I don't get the sideways shift that sets you up for trouble. The previous turf tires were only good on flat lawns, and not very good on flat fields.
we haven't snow here, but turfs on wet grass were almost useless.
