I climb and work on and off of welded steel ladders that are used in commercial grain elevators. Some days I am standing on a ladder, wiring in a junction box for 3-5 hours out of 8-12 hours. The only boot that fits me well and has a strong enough arch to hold up for me has been Danner boots. I have been to their outlet store in Portland, but actually have gotten better service at The Fort Western Wear in Lincoln,NE and Scheels in Omaha and Iowa City. I started buying them in 1974, have about 10 pair in various stages of life. I have worn out 3 pair, one pair in only 3 years working on heavy equipment at a cat shop and soaking up a lot of dirty 90W. They have been terrific boots for me.
