No supposedly about it, the 6.7 is a Ford designed and built engine. Navistar has been fired. Navistar is sueing Ford for developing the new engine before the contract was up. When I went to the 6.7 diesel hands on, they say the 6.7 is the most tested engine Ford has ever produced. I don't like the antiquated vacuum controls they put on it, but so far they have been trouble free. The dealer I work for has sold quite a few and I have only seen them back for regular maintenance. The 6.0 is trouble spread out, the 6.4 is trouble concentrated. It costs about $8K for an injection pump and injectors when they go out of warranty. About $2500 for EGR and Oil coolers on a 6.0. I can have a cab in the air to change the injection pump and injectors in about an hour and a half if that tells you how often I work on 6.4's. What I tell people I know is you need your head examined if you are planning on buying a 6.0 or 6.4 Ford diesel.
