Ya know, I realize things are tough and I also realize this doesn't help you out but, I almost wish it would get bad enough that they would start laying off politicians. Just so those jerks could feel just what it's like to live in the real world we face each day.
One good thing in your thread though is that your state has the fiscal understanding that when there is no more money, you stop spending. Some states as well as countries (ours included) would just keep spending and borrow to do it, leaving a much bigger hole to dig out of in the long run.
