I have been hearing that times are tough and you see it all around you, but boy does it hurt when it knocks at your front door. I am 33 and born and raised on the family farm and working is something I have always loved doing. I got my first "real job" at 16 and have been working ever since. I have been at my current job for 12 years and have worked my way to the top. I just found out that our company, which is seasonal, is going to lay all of us for 2 months to wait things out. I am recently married, purchased a home, and have an 8 month old. I am at a lose, go on unemployment, and get paid not to work? The wife will pick up extra hours and leave me to be Mr Mom. I never dreamed I would ever be in the position and I never dreamed it would be so taxing to my emotions/morals. At least I will still be able to go to parents and work on my "hobby farm" but you can only clean lots and move cattle so many time before the neighbors think you have lost it! Anybody have any "proven" advice? Thanks!
