8N size tractor without power steering and 6.00x16 tires. Have 4PR now and get a little squishy with a round bale on the fork. Would 6 or 8 ply stand up better and make it easier to steer?
Also stays preyy sloppy during the times I need to move bales and the frt tires stay pretty packed with mud. Local ag store is selling pairs of 6.50x16 6 and 8 PR diagonal tread for a good price (actually cheaper than replacing what I have on it now). I think the diagonal tread would be more responsive to steering even though I don't have frt wheel drive and would clean themselves quicker. Would I be better off?
