Turnips came in real handy one year when the corn failed... eggs/toast/cornflakes for breakfast... mashed turnips for lunch, turnips and beans for supper... and turnipy soup
One year not a single turnip came up in the turnip patch... was wondering if the seed was bad
Later in the year was following a deer trail a half mile away in an area that floods every spring there were hundreds of turnips growing in the leaves lol I think I found out where the seed went. smehow...
