In 2009 I received a $200 Social Security "stimulus" check. I devoted it to erecting a flag pole in my front yard. I tried that solar powered light and was sorely disapointed. My flag will not fly in the dark! I upgraded to a photo-eye and a flood light. A little tip for locations where the Flag flies 24/7, a little cheap super glue on the stitching on the end of the Flag will make it last much much longer without fraying. Love my Flag.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
