16th Signal Ft Hood, 97th Signal Mannhiem Germany. I never saw combat anywhere.
Today something happened that upset me some. It wasn't here that it happened. It happened elsewhere. A person posted thanking the veterans of certain wars, leaving out a lot of wars and conflicts. I replied nicely I thought, adding some conflicts and wars that were not mentioned, including our current ones, as well as thanking the soldiers that served that didn't see combat anywhere any time, but they served nonetheless and could have been called upon for the ultimates. I was trying nicely to thank all veterans across the board, because as Patton said during his speech just prior to Operation Overlord, there is no soldier whose job is to small...and you get the idea. That person came back and took a swipe at me, naming our current wars, and named one prior as being unjust, and blah, blah, blah, and made it clear that he or she left them out for those reasons. That really took some shine off of it all. That really and truly did. Our nation has changed some over the years.
To all veterans everywhere, thank you so very much. I can never thank any one of you or be proud of anyone of you or our soldiers that sacrafised it all from our Revolutionary war after declaring independence up to and including now...enough. Thanks, thanks, and thanks.
May God always bless our nation and our soldiers, every last one of them.

After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
