I would start with a disk scan. Open My Computer right click on the C: drive (that's using the right hand mouse button) select properties. In the window that opens select the Tools tab and click Check Now. Put check marks in both the options then click start. It will give some blurb about not being able to do it now and ask if you want to do it on the next restart. say yes (or OK which ever it gives) and restart your machine. It can take an hour or more to complete depending on the size of your HD and speed of the machine. Good Luck. If it still happens download and run Malwarebytes. That's all I dare suggest for now.
