I have converted my 1968 3020 diesel to 12 volts and an alternator years ago. Instead of buying a starter at the time I had a local starter shop change the starter to 12 volts. Now after several starter rebuilds over the years I need to replace the starter. Would the best starter be the Denso 12 volt? I think based on the confusing Deere info the last starter offered as a 12 volt starter for a tractor converted to 12 volts is the TY6701 or now the SE501444 reman which I believe is a Delco starter. If you go to the 123000 up serial numbers the Denso 12 volt starter appears to be the TY6713, currently the SE501414 reman. Also Deere shows the TY6710 (subs to SE501446 reman) which I believe is a Delco. I don't necessarily intend to buy a Deere reman based on price, but I want to get the best starter for this tractor and since I am used to figuring out the Deere part first I went this route to figure out what to do.
