We first got Direct TV way back in '97. Our payments were about $30 a month. A couple of months ago I put up the antenna again and we completely ditched the dish when our bill was about $80 a month. Most of the new channels that they added were nothing more than infomercial channels anyway. What really teed us off was that new customers would get the $29.99 a month intro specials, but the loyal customers could not. Our kids now read books again instead of watching the stupid mindless Disney or cartoon channels. I miss my Monday Night Football on ESPN (a little), but that $80 a month stays in my pocket instead. There is one show on FX that I really liked that I now watch on Hulu for free. Currently, we have no plans on going back to either Dish or Direct.
