Liens are not automatic, you have to file them in a county where the property is. The Liens have to be satisfied before the property can be transferred (sold). If you don't want to wait that long, you can force a "Sheriff's sale" of property. I don't think you can lien a crop.
Not a lawyer, but I did win a small judgement many years ago and waited 6 years before a real estate broker called me to get a lien satisfied.
