Model Number

I have an old Ford tractor that has been worked hard and put away wet. It still runs well but needs a regulator and I don't know the model number, which the shop requires. I need to know if their is a model number on the tractor itself and if so where. It is an early to mid 1950s tractor. The guy I bought it from doesn't know a lot about it, or won't disclose anything.
