Go to a grocery store and price Coke Cola, Pepsi, and the store brand cola. You will get an idea of the true cost of those so called FREE scoreboards, menu signs, etc. Same for beer stadiums, etc. Advertising costs/budgets are enormous.
I decided a long time ago that since I prefer Pepsi I would no longer drink Coke Cola. Ever try to get a Pepsi in a southern U.S. airport? It is dang near impossible.
Unless taken there by others I refuse to eat at Subway restaurants because they no longer give drink choice. Had been eating there for several days in a row a few years ago and suddenly one day there was no longer any Pepsi. I asked to speak with the manager and voiced my opinion and also mailed in a customer survey card.
Seems that iced tea or water is generally my drink of choice these days so no hardship.
