To all Portland attendees who knew John Girard Sr. of Decatur, Indiana, I regret to announce his passing on Christmas morning.
John was the founder of the Girard Family Classic Threshing crew that demonstrated old time harvesting and threshing at the Tri-State Tractor and Engine show at Portland , indiana. This group has performed there for many years.
John and his family have been very good friends of mine for several years. Through him and the threshing crew, I have gotten to meet many new friends. He will be sadly missed at the upcoming shows.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 3:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Haggard and Sefton funeral home, 225 Adams St. Decatur, Indiana.
