Vermont is one of the states that you can carry a gun concealed or not without any type of license.Want to bet which place has the least gun related crimes Vermont or DC,Chicago,New york City,Detroit all of which have very restricitve laws on guns? Its the people not the weapons that they have access to thats important.Most all the states that have few restrictions on guns have lower gun related crime rates than the states with restricitive laws.Makes sense to arm the law abiding citizens because the criminals are going to be armed regardless.
