There is such a thing as unfair trade practices and you can report them to consumer affairs. As far as the price of gas, about 3 or 4 years ago Petro Canada changed the policy on their Petro points cards. I think because it was crooked. Anyone could get a free Petro points card which was "supposedly" supposed to save you 3.5 cents a litre. If you didn't have a card you didn't get the discount. The problem was that the price was jacked up 3.5 cents a litre in the first place. I bet they made millions off of people who weren't regular customers and didn't want to be bothered applying for a Petro points card. I think the Gov't. still owned Petro Canada at the time but not sure. Some people claim that the price of gas should be adjusted for the temperature. Most pumps have a label saying they are corrected for 15 deg.C but between -30 and 30 above, there can be a pretty good difference in actual volume. Dave
