Been there done that ! Another very knowledable YT er recommends this : ONE gallon of diesel fuel mixed with ONE quart of ATF and ONE pint of 90% rubbing alcolhol. Drain milk as very much as possible, add mixture and run the tractor around the yard for about three minutes, park and drain, Then add ONE gallon of diesel fuel to tranny for a rinse, drain and then fill as required with tranny oil as specked. What "Soundguy" says is that you very seldom get all of the milk mix out the first time by just draining; (nook and crannys) and the running around the yard coupled with a final diesel rinse will do a very good job. You may have to do this more then once but it is a good solution for the problem. Take note that a poor seal on the transmission boot may be the likely culprit given the water in the oil, per se. I use a bucket over the shifting rod when parked outside -- it will always, always, rain when you don't have it covered, right ????
