Any color tractor used for work is only as good as your closest good dealer. Both red and green iron dealers around here have been bought out by Wal-Tractor type joints and they both suck real bad. Our local blue dealer is still owned by the same guy who has had it for years. When you walk in the door you have to walk past the owner/salesman's desk. If he is not on the phone or with some one he will stop you and ask how the world is treat'n you while you are on the way to the parts desk to buy a fuel filter. Kinda nice have'n an owner act that way.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery. I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity".
