We just got rid of our two horses.Took a year to find a good home for them and of course they were free.Sure do miss em most of the time,but was the right thing to do.Most people comment,cost too much huh!Well actually even though things got a little tight around here,as it did everywhere.That was not the problem.I found if you have proper pasture the yearly cost of two horses was around $1000.00 a year.I got a steal on hay=3.00 a bail,delivered and stacked in the barn.180 bails got me thru Nov-April.Farrier every 2-3 months 50.00(no shoes).Now granted I had very good keepers,very healthy,hay and water,maybey a little grain in the winter.Vet bills can really put a sting on the joy of horses.They had to go though,wife has health issues and I been working like crazy(two jobs),just couldnt do it anymore. But what Ive seen of Allens character for quite a few years on here,if anybody can handle three more its him.Sounds like a couple of nice ponys.
