I like your terminology "funky ball hitch". It reminds me of the time in the early 60"s that Dad borrowed a rake just like this AC from a neighbor but I had to go get it. When I saw that ball hitch, I thought "how in the he@@ am I gonna hook that thing up?". I had to ask the neighbor about it, and I got the rake to our place. It did a pretty good job of raking the hay.
