You think "The Will of the People(TM)" had anything to do with this?
No, MONEY brought your station back, plain and simple. Time Warner and WKTV's owners were in a dispute over how much Time Warner was paying to have WKTV in their cable lineup.
WKTV's owners wanted more money. Time Warner obviously doesn't want to pay more. More money going out means less profit. Duh.
We've got the same thing going on with WUHF here in Rochester. The deadline was extended to January 15th last I checked. If they don't come to an agreement, the owners of WUHF will pull their station.
People are too dumb to realize it's the greedy media conglomerates that are trying to get a piece of Time Warner that's causing this. All they know is the cable company gives them TV, and when TV go off, it's the cable company's fault.
Now Time Warner gets to pay more for the station, and YOU get to pay more for your cable service. Hope you enjoy your local station.
