I've been on ebay a LONG time, don't use it much any more 'cause of all the changes they've made.
When paying with PayPal, I almost always select "Instant transfer from bank account #XXXXXX".
Bill me later, ECHECK and credit card have been the other funding option.
I bought a tool about 2 weeks ago and PayPal worked as it always had, allowing me to pay by instant transfer from the bank account.
I have a separate account and only transfer enough into it to make the payments so there's NO way I can be scammed out of any more money than that.
This morning, I bought a much-needed part and went to PayPal to pay for it and the "instant transfer from checking account" option does NOT appear, yet the same account is still list as being able to be used with ECHECK. I emailed them to ask what is going on, got a computer generated reply they'll get back to me within 72 hours.
In the meantime, has anyone else had this happen.... I've had no letters or email from them notifying of any change in account status, nor has there been any problem with the bank account.
