Started out working for dad in his machine shop. Later worked for a die shop, a special machine builder, an aerospace shop, Chrysler, then GM, all in the tool & die trade. Retired in 08, as my plant was closing. Every single plant I worked in is now closed. I guess that's the story of manufacturing in this country.
