I have a Case VAC that I am planning on doing an engine rebuild. When I bought the tractor a couple of years ago the block had been welded behind the carburetor. The weld had a pinhole leak that I fixed with JB weld. I pulled the head and the web between cylinder 2 and 3 is cracked at the top. What are your guys thoughts. Should I reuse the block or replace? I have been using this tractor the past couple of summers to mow with and besides using about a quart of oil every 4 hours it ran fine. I opened it up this weekend to access how far to take the rebuild and it needs new sleeves/pistons as well as the crank shaft ground.
