With a company that manufactures and hauls their own product you will most likely make more money and have more home time. I know because I was an owner / operator for a few years and drove for a company that hauled its own product for 13 years. I did much better working for the company. As an owner operator I spent too much of my time at home making sure the truck was ready to go out again, instead of with my family.
