Had a blizzard in Bruce County April 24th 2005 that shut down roads and schools for two days. Oats and barley had been planted in the 2nd & 3rd week of the month. The grain had sprouted but was drowned out in the melt. Much of the crop had to be re-planted. Snow, freezing rain or sleet on the May 24 weekend isn't unusual. Particularly in cottage country such as Muskoka or Haliburton.

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
