1st check to see if there is play in the slack adjuster. If there is you probably have the lining frozen to the drum. Smack it with a big hammer till it rings. If there is no play, you may have cammed over on the "S" cam. You will have to back the adjustment off to release the brake. It is time at that point to replace the brake, It is not usable at that point. The lining will probably be about 1/4" thick if the drums are in good shape. One other thought, Is there an air leak at that brake can? Do not disassemble the brake can, replace the whole thing. There is a big spring inside that will hurt or kill you if not done properly, so just back the adjustment off and remove the whole can With the push rod. Tim in OR 16 years truck utility mechanic.
