What heat range spark plugs are you using? A engine fueled by LP or NG needs a colder plug than a gasoline fueled engine. An example: I have a LP fuel Allis-Chalmers G-262 power unit. The plug it uses is an Champion N-3C. If fueled by gasoline it uses either a N-9Y or N-12Y. You also need to run a tighter plug gap on LP/NG than you do for gasoline.
