To be fair, ONE day of down oil prices isn't going to affect pump prices, especially if the price shoots right back up tomorrow.
Oil needs to go down and stay down for a few days before the supply of cheaper gas reaches the pumps. The stuff in the tanks at the station was bought and paid before today, when prices were high, and they can't sell it at a loss.
Of course you're right, it seems like it takes longer for it to go down than up, but that could be perception...
