Their protests are claiming that the soldier"s deaths are punishment for our country"s allowing individuals to have partners of the same gender.
I"m not taking sides on this question, but it is sure a shame they have been taking out their views on the greiving loved ones of a fallen serviceman/woman.
Hats off to the Patriot Guard Riders for their attempts to shield the mourners from this bunch. PGR was invited to the funeral of my young nephew who was killed by a drunk driver, six months after he returned from two tours of dury in the Marines in Iraq. They showed tremendous respect, dignity and decency.
I am sure this too will pass. When they realize that their activities are not furthering their cause, they will become tired of the travel and expenses, and they"ll focus their efforts elsewhere.
