It's tough to come out ahead restoring to sell.
Return on investment is somewhere in the 50% area, so you would practically have to have gotten the tractor for FREE to come out ahead on the deal.
The only reason to restore a tractor is to enjoy it for yourself. Otherwise, sell it as-is. If it's mechanically sound, has decent tires, and isn't beat to pieces, it's worth just as much now as it would be with a fresh coat of paint, maybe more. When you paint a tractor, people suspect you're trying to cover something up.
