Saving our family WD from the scrapyard. We bought it in 1965, been around too long to junk. Unfortunately, the block was bad. Purchased a WD45 engine today, currently having the head checked out.
Looks like everything will bolt up. As near as I can tell the stroke is longer 4.5" vs 4" on the WD and the pistons are different.
My question is with the carbrator, looks like it will bolt up (manifold is the same). Does anybody know if the jets or other internal parts of the carbrator are diffrent on a WD45 vs a WD. It is not a big deal if it does not quite full WD45 hp as all the tractor will be used for is plowing the garden with a 2 x 14" plow, grader blade work on the driveway and other minor chores.
